I too knew the snow had to eventually come, but while we were without it I liked to dream that it would be a snowless winter. Just like Marlene's boy's though, Brielle's been begging for snow as well. Every time we go outside now she has to pick it up.
It certainly is all about perspective. We can choose to see it as beautiful and a step closer to summer (haha), or we can shut our blinds, sit by the fire and try to pretend that it's not there. I think I like the joyful option more.
